Designing and building in the same loop
Moving between visual decisions and working code helps ideas meet the real constraints of a product sooner.
Design and implementation are often treated like a relay race. In practice, I get better results when I can move between them: prototype a layout, build the interaction, then use what I learned in the browser to refine the design.
Code makes constraints concrete. A component exposes repeated patterns. A real viewport reveals where a layout feels cramped. Those discoveries are useful feedback, not reasons to protect a mockup from reality.
Keeping the loop short helps me make interfaces that feel intentional and remain practical to maintain. The work is still careful; it just benefits from seeing the whole path sooner.
